Thank you so much to those who watched my sister and I on Facebook Live last night as we talked about eating healthy and exercise on her weekly Wedding Wednesday show. We talked about healthy snacking and I promised to provide you with some recipes of the healthy snacks we showed you while online so here is the first one. I call these Power Balls because they are seriously little morsels of power and energy. Two or three of these babies and they will keep you satiated for a few hours until your next meal. Full of nutrients and deliciousness!!

Ingredients:

1 cup natural, unsweetened nut butter of your choice (or sunflower butter)
1/4 cup pure maple syrup
1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp ground cinnamon
pinch of sea salt
1/2 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
1/3 cup dried cranberries or raisins (you can opt for chocolate chips)
1/4 cup sunflower seeds
1/2 cup raw hemp seeds, for rolling

Instructions:

In a large bowl, mix together the nut butter, maple syrup, cocoa powder, cinnamon, and salt until combined. Add the coconut, cranberries/raisins (or chic chips) and sunflower seeds. Mix well.

Roll the dough into 1-1/2 inch balls.  If the mixture is too soft to form with your hands, place in refrigerator for 30 minutes.  Roll the balls in the hemp seeds to coat.

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
